We at SimplyWerx are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with Compass Steel (the "App").

We collect the absolute minimum data needed for the App to function. We do not collect, store, or share personal information that directly identifies you (such as name, email, contacts, or files).

1. Intended Audience

The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not target or knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the App.

2. Data Processed on Device

The following data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party, except as described in the Advertisements section:

Device sensor data (magnetometer, accelerometer, gyroscope) used for compass orientation and heading.
Optional location data used only for on-device calculations (e.g., true north, magnetic declination, sunrise/sunset, altitude). No location data is collected, stored, or transmitted.

3. Advertisements and Third-Party Data Collection

To support development and keep the App free, we display advertisements using Google AdMob and its mediation partners (including Unity Ads, Liftoff, Pangle, and Fluct). We serve personalized ads, which may be tailored to your inferred interests and device data for greater relevance (e.g., outdoor, navigation, or travel-related ads).

The Google Mobile Ads SDK and partner SDKs automatically collect and share the following technical information with Google and its mediation partners (and potentially the broader advertising ecosystem) for ad serving, personalization, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and aggregated reporting:

Device or other IDs (e.g., Android Advertising ID, App Set ID)
Approximate location (derived from IP address, e.g., country/region level)
App interactions (e.g., app launches, ad impressions, taps)

This data is collected by Google and our advertising partners, not by SimplyWerx. We do not have access to it. They process it according to their own privacy policies.

All data transmissions are encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS).

Consent Management (EEA/UK Users)

In regions where required (primarily the European Economic Area and United Kingdom), we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to show a consent form for ad-related data use and personalization. The form appears only when necessary and lets you manage your preferences. If you do not consent, our advertising partners serve limited or non-personalized ads where possible.

Resetting your advertising ID or opting out may result in less relevant ads but does not remove ads entirely.
EEA/UK users: Use the in-app consent form to change preferences at any time.

4. In-App Purchases (Donations)

The App offers an optional one-time donation to upgrade to a premium, ad-free experience. Transactions are processed securely via Google Play Store. We do not receive or store any payment details (e.g., credit card information). We only receive confirmation from Google to unlock premium features.

5. Your Consent

By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy, including the collection, sharing, and use of technical data by Google AdMob and its mediation partners for personalized advertising (where consented or applicable). You can manage choices via device settings or the consent form (where shown).
